Qualifying Criteria
The Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) is a government-backed initiative aimed at improving the energy efficiency of homes across the UK. The scheme helps eligible households get free or heavily subsidised insulation installed, including:
✅Loft insulation
✅Cavity wall insulation
✅Solid wall insulation (internal/external)
✅Room-in-roof insulation
✅Underfloor insulation
Who Qualifies?

Requirments For GBIS?
✅ Property EPC Rating: D or below (i.e., D, E, F, G)
✅ Tenure: Homeowners or private renters (landlord permission required)
✅ Council Tax Band: Generally Band A-D in England, A-E in Scotland/Wales
✅ Benefits: Not strictly required for GBIS (unlike ECO4), but households on a lower income or vulnerable to cold may be prioritised
✅ No Gas Requirement: Unlike ECO4, gas central heating isn't a deciding factor
